Cliff walk at Donville-les-Bains and north to Bricquebosq

 Sunday 4th September

Quite an unusual cliff walk as along here it's moved inland a bit!  We needed to go shopping for essentials this morning, so didn't get out till after lunch for our walk.  But by then the clouds had lifted and we had another very warm afternoon.

We reached the top of the cliff up a steep path and realised we were looking down on our van!

Looking down from the cliff.

And out to the Chausey Islands.
Found 3 geocaches up there.
Then down, past this church.
And back to the van for our Sunday gateaux!

Monday 5th September

We left the coast this morning to drive further north on the Cherbourg peninsular, stopping off quite a few times.  First stop was for morning coffee in a woodland picnic area (no photo), second stop a walk around the small town of Lessay in the hope of finding a restaurant for lunch.  No luck, so continued on to La Haye du Puits and there found Le Equinoxe in the main street serving excellent Escalope de Dinde, followed by a walk along the nearby Voie Verte to aid digestion.

Then on via Bricquebec-en-Cotentin, where we stopped for cuppas by a lake, to Bricquebosq

to stay the night at a France Passion.  This one isn't any of the usual vineyards, farms, museums etc. but the garden of a couple who call themselves Camping-caristes.  Their van is parked further down the garden.

We are two doors down from the statue of Mary!

Took a stroll through this part of the village.  The front of the church.  Now you see it ....

...now you don't!

I am writing this during a horrendous thunder storm with the rain lashing down and lightning virtually continuous.  We knew it would catch up with us eventually!
