Coast path at Fermanville
Took advantage of a fine morning to do a washload and hang it out in the sunshine. So a late morning start for our walk westwards along the coast path. The sandy path goes around the bay behind the dunes.
Put this one in so we remember the name of the beach.
Then we came around a rocky outcrop to the next small bay with an even tinier harbour. Here we sat on a seat by the lifeboat station (that's all there is here apart from a few tumbledown sheds) to eat our lunch. Then between huge rocks to the next bay with yet another deserted beach. We are getting nearer the lighthouse. (Not really - this pic is zoomed in.)
We made it!!
On the way back around the pink granite rocks.
We believe this is a cormorant.
But not sure about these ....
Looking back to where we've been - lighthouse in the distance.
Then from the seat close to 'our' beach, we watched the swan family for a while. The tide had just turned and we think they were feeding on the seaweed.
Another favourite place to remember.
Moving south again tomorrow to pastures new.
